Introduction

In English, we use different words to talk about one thing or more than one thing.

  • When we talk about one person, animal, or thing, we use singular words.
  • When we talk about more than one, we use plural words.

For example:

This change from one to many is called Singular and Plural.

Singular (One) and Plural (More Than One)

Most words add -s to show more than one.
